Last year we lost one of our favorite people, Mike Malone, to cancer. In order to honor Mike’s memory, we’ve created an endowed fund in his name at the University of Rhode Island, Mike’s alma mater. Once fully funded ($50,000), an endowed fund lives on forever, growing over time. Annually, 5% of the fund’s value will be dedicated for a scholarship administered by the school to a URI journalism major, Mike’s career path. Until June 30, there is an open enrollment for donations to the fund. All donations will qualify for a charitable tax write-off and donors will receive a tax receipt from the school.
